669,686. Magnetizing. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. Dec. 9, 1949 [Dec. 13, 1948], No. 31666/49. Class 35. A permanent magnet A.C. generator is remagnetized by charging a condenser 9 through a rectifier 8 from the generator and subsequently discharging it through the generator armature windings 2 by means of a switch 11. The discharge may be done through a synchronized switch or the rotor may be brought to rest in the correct position. In cases of severe demagnetization the condenser voltage may be increased by charging through a transformer. Specification 456,373 is referred to.
