Class 59 In a crusher in which hammers or the like rotate in a casing, outlet openings for the crushed material are provided in a hollow cylinder situated within the crusher nearer the rotor axis than the hammers and connected with the outside through an aperture in the rear wall of the crusher. As shown, the crusher comprises a rotor formed by providing on each side of a disc 1 beaters 2, 3, rotating within a stator 4 having along its inner periphery chambers 5, 6. Material, fed through inlet 7 is, after treatment, ejected through openings 8 provided in a cylindrical member 9 which rotates with the beaters. In a modification the member 9 is stationary, being formed integral with the rear wall 10 and the openings 8 are inclined so that their outer edges project forwardly in the direction of rotation. The outlet member may also be separately rotated at a lower speed than the rotor.
