667,980. Guards for cooking-stove hotplates. FLETCHER, J. J. June 28, 1950. [Aug. 17, 1949] No. 21373/49. Class 126. A guard for the hot-plate of a gas or electric cooker comprises a three-side wire mesh frame 1, flared outwardly towards its upper edge 2 and secured to the cooker top by clips 6 connected to the guard by springs 7. Alternatively, the frame may be hinged to the rear edge of the hot-plate so that it may be swung upwardly into an inoperative position.
