Abstract

199,633. Fletcher, A. J., and Bawden, H. M. Aug. 15, 1922. Supports for articles to be heated; guards.-A gas-stove is provided with a supplementary grid D which is pivoted in brackets B secured to the front pillars C of the hot-plate, and is adapted, when in an horizontal position, to form an extension of the main grid A and, when turned up into a substantially vertical position, to act as a guard for preventing accidental displacement of utensils. The grid D has pivot-pins F engage ing in inverted L-shaped slots E, and pins G are provided on the brackets B to engage the bevelled ends J of the side members of the grid and so retain the latter in its raised position. The grid is supported in the horizontal position by the ends J abutting against the hot-plate A and by a rod H which extends between the brackets B and. may be used as a towel-rail.
