Abstract
649,630. Toaster &c. under-trays. MORPHY-RICHARDS, Ltd., MORPHY, D. W., and RUSSELL, W. M. Dec. 7, 1948, No. 31603. [Class 28(i)] A crumb or under tray, e.g. for an electric toaster, comprises an upper tray D and a shield H spaced from it by studs G. Air openings E and L have upturned edges which prevent spilling of crumbs, and air flow up through these openings induces a horizontal air flow through lateral openings K thus limiting heat radiation on to the supporting surface. The tray assembly may be hinged as at D1, (Fig. 3, not shown), and may be embodied in hot plates, waffle plates or like appliances.
