[Classes 39(iii) and 126] An electric cooker is provided with a cooker plate 4 in which there is at least one collecting gutter 5 into which material which has boiled over may pass from heating plates 7 with draining edges 9 overhanging the surrounding collecting gutter 5, each collecting gutter which may serve one or more heating plates 7 being provided with an outlet 6 so that material which has boiled over may drain into a drawer 3 beneath the cooking plate 4.
