[Class 39(iii)] The electric cooking appliance has a multi-part baking element 16 in its lower portion and a broiling element 14 in its upper portion, one part 18 of the baking element 16 having a higher resistance than the other part 20. Switching means are provided for connecting to a source of supply: -(a) the higher resistance part 18 of the baking element in series with the broiling element 14 and the remaining resistance 20 in parallel therewith, or (b) the lower resistance part 20 of the baking- element in parallel with the broiling element 14, or (c) the broiling element only..
