[Class 126] [Also in Group XIII] A heating appliance is provided with a casing formed mainly of material of relatively low melting point e.g. aluminium, wherein a fusible element is fitted designed to melt at a lower temperature than the appliance and so admit additional air. Fusible elements 12 are placed at the points of the casing which are likely to reach the highest temperatures. An aperture with thickened edges is formed in the casing at these points to accommodate a fusible element 12 fitted with flanges 18 which seat on the edges of the aperture. A lug is provided at one end of the element 12 by which it is screwed to the casing, an extension which slides under the casing into a rebate 15 being provided at the other end of each element 12.
