607,877. Electric resistance heaters. UNITY HEATING, Ltd., and YOUNG, J. M. Aug. 27, 1945, No. 21992. [Class 39(iii)] A mica or like insulating and heat resisting strip 1 is edged with channel section metal strip 2 to prevent distintegration of the mica composition strip due to heat, and to provide mechanical strength. Mica spacing pieces 3 may be secured by rivets 4 to locate the heating element in a tubular heater. Woven asbestos or glass fibre fabric, or plastic sheet material may be used in place of mica. Specifications 155,622, [Class 39(iii)], is referred to.
