[Class 39 (iii)] An electrically heated cooking oven has sheathed heating elements a mounted so that they can be swung into or out of contact with the cooker walls d. Each heating element has its ends projecting through a cylindrical hinge piece b, Fig. 3, occupying a gap in an oven wall c or, alternatively, each end of a heating element may extend through a ball m, Fig. 5, swivelling in a like gap between a socketed plate n and a clamping plate O. In both cases a pad i of fabric or other jointing material is included to form a steam-tight joint around the hinge piece.
