Class 99 (i) In a coupler of the kind having a plurality of segmental jaws 36 adapted to engage a fitting such as a lubricating nipple 64 under the action of axial pressure and a conical surface 32 in the coupler body 18, a tubular seating member 38 for the nipple is supported on the jaws, and a hollow rubber &c. sealing plug 52 is located within the body, and has a reduced extension 54 projecting within the tubular seating member to engage and seal the end of the nipple. The sealing plug is cup-shaped, is initially compressed between the jaws and the body, and also seals the joint between the parts 10, 18 of the body.
