Class 103(iii) A sanding device comprises a sand container 1 mounted on a base member 4 having an outlet 7 formed with a throat for communication with a discharge pipe 9 and a compressed air manifold 15 mounted above the outlet and having a main jet 13 and subsidiary jets 2. 3. A rim 5 is formed on the base member beneath the manifold 15 in such relationship as to normally support the sand and prevent it flowing through the outlet 7. In operation, compressed air is supplied to the manifold through a connection 11 and the flow of air through the jets 2, 3 agitates the sand which is drawn over the rim 5 and through the outlet 7 by the flow of air through the jet 13.
