Abstract

202,255. Detrick Co., M. H., (Assignees of Ellman, L.). Aug. 14, 1922, [Convention date]. Pneumatic conveyers. -In steam-jet ash conveyers &c., auxiliary nozzles 5 for supplying pressure fluid at an elbow &c. are arranged in a circle about the axis of the conduit, and are so disposed that the jets are projected along the wall of the conduit. The axes of the nozzle orifices intersect at a point above the inlet pipe 2 of the elbow. The nozzles nearest the inlet pipe are spaced apart to permit entrainment of air from the inlet between the jets. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 167,928.
