Abstract

703,642. Spray-producers. ANDREWS, P. C. July 28, 1952 [April 27, 1951], No. 9900/51. Class 69 (3) Liquid, fed at 19, passes through passages 18 in a core 13 to an annular passage 15 between the core and a sleeve 10, and the liquid issues as a thin film from an annular outlet 16, and is dispersed radially by a plate 21. The latter is detachably secured to a stem 20 of the core by a nut, and has differently shaped boss portions 21b, 21c so that by reversing the plate the spray can be varied. The spraying operation may be supplemented by an air blast directed against the annular film of liquid leaving the edge of the plate.
