Class 64(iii) A transformer tank 1 is provided on each of at least two opposite walls with an oil cooling chamber comprising upper and lower conduits 2, 3 opening outwardly from the tank into a plurality of hollow gills 7, an air space 6 being formed between each bank of hollow gills and the adjacent wall of the tank, and each air space being open laterally for the circulation of cooling air. One or more openings 13 may be provided extending through the lower conduit 3 to promote circulation of air.
