Abstract
660,564. Fuel-injection pumps. ZELEZNY, A. March 11, 1947 [April 25, 1946], No. 6839 [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Sept. 12, 1947]. Class 102 (i). In a fuel-injection pump, the suction and spill ports 6, 7, are arranged co-axially and the head of the piston 3 is so shaped that on the suction stroke, the suction port 6 is opened before the spill port 7 so that reversal of flow in the spill port is prevented. The head of the piston may have a step 10 or be inclined as at 12.
