660,086. Bearings. WOLFENSTETTER, J. Dec. 22, 1949, No. 32869/49. Class 12 (i). In a thrust bearing arrangement for a shaft of toothed wheel gearing, a gear-wheel 1 is fixed directly on an enlarged part 9 of the shaft, the two ends 10 of said part forming the thrust surfaces of a thrust bearing. The co-operating thrust surfaces 11 of the thrust bearing are mounted on the foundation 3 and may be incorporated with the shaft bearings 4. The thrust bearing segments 11 may be provided only in the lower part of the bearing. The shaft 5 may be that connecting the driving- engine shaft with the propeller shaft of a marine engine installation.
