Toothed gearing.-In toothed reducing-gearing for use on aircraft &c., a driving-shaft c carries a toothed wheel a gearing with an internally toothed annulus j integral with or secured to the driven or propeller shaft l. The shaft c is carried in roller bearings d in a support g formed on a crank or other casing h, which carries the annulus j by means of a Michell rocking-block bearing k, the blocks of which may be separately adjusted to obtain correct meshing. A roller bearing o and thrust bearing p support the driven shaft l in an extension q integral with or secured to the casing h. The thrust-bearing may be replaced by thrust bearings on one or both sides of the bearing k.
