Abstract

658,529. Draught excluders. WRIGHT, J. Sept. 28, 1948, No. 25212. [Class 20(iii)] A draught excluder bar adapted to be secured to a door sill to engage the bottom rail of the door as it closes consists of a substantially H-section extruded aluminium bar having the front and rear flanges A and B connected by a web C, the flange A being one inch high whilst flange B is 11/16 of an inch high. The underside of the door rail is rebated so that on closing, the front face of the door contacts flange A and the rebate surface contacts flange B, giving a double draught seal and forming a dead air space between the door and the web C. To allow any water entering the space to drain away the web C is made with a fall from back to front and weep holes Dare provided in the flange A. Specification 503,360, is referred to.
