Abstract

658,132. Vehicle windows. WICKMAN. A. C. May 13, 1949, No. 12833. [Class 20(iii)] An air deflector 15, preferably transparent, is mounted in an adjustable fabric-lined telescopic frame 18 which is attached, at the juncture of the forward pivoted pane 11 and the rearward vertically adjustable pane 12, in the window frame of the side door panel of a vehicle. The frame 18 is either pivoted between, or made integral with, upper and lower brackets 20<SP>1</SP>, 21<SP>1</SP> which carry window frame engagement clips 22. When the frame is pivoted the lower bracket 21<SP>1</SP> is grooved at 33 to locate the deflector in its various angular positions. A non-adjustable frame 34, Fig. 7, carries clips 35 adapted to clasp an upright guide for the front edge of the pane 12, and when it is desired to fit the deflector during manufacture a receiving recess is formed in a thickened upright guide member.
