[Class 112] Overhead-sewing machines, scale-pan type.-In a cup-feed machine with auxiliary puller-feed the puller-feed members (rollers in the form described) are individually driven, preferably by belts from the corresponding feed-cups and preferably at a slightly greater surface feed than the feed-cups. One of the auxiliary feedmembers is carried by the movable support of the corresponding feed-cups so that both sets of feed members are separated by a single action; both auxiliary feed members may be mounted by adjustable brackets, and in one form one of these brackets is provided with a hinge and biassing spring. Auxiliary feed-rollers may be provided with stripper means to prevent the work from clinging to either of them; they are tapered in their lower part for easy removal of the work, and are preferably of resilient material bonded to metal cores. The work-engaging surfaces of the feedcups may be provided by rubber bands, preferably bonded to them.
