[Also in Group XXIII] Distortion of a guide or supporting member 13 clamped to the support 15 of a grinding machine (Group XXIII) by bolts or the like 11 passing through a pressure plate 9 is prevented by a pressure distributing member 10 consisting of one or more elastic inserts of rubber or the like between the guide or supporting member and the pressureplate. The pressure-distributing member has substantially the same size and shape as the pressure-plate.
