The roller conveyer of the parent Specification is used to reciprocate the work-table 6 of a machine tool 4. The table may rest directly on the rollers 1 or be fixed to a ferro-magnetic plate 8 which rests on them. Grooves in the table or plate are engaged by ribs on the rollers.
