657,713. Buckles. WALKER, Ltd., T. and WALKER, T. Jan. 29, 1949, No. 2527. [Class 43] A buckle is detachably secured to a belt end 8, which carries fastening elements, e.g. stud and socket fasteners 10, 11, by passing said end through a loop 5, which is formed at the end of a prong 4 and is pivoted to the buckle frame 1, the outer side of the loop being outwardly bowed or bent at its centre 6 to provide clearance for said fastening elements. Integral trunnions 7 on the shorter sides 5a of the oblong loop 5 are received in holes in the sides 2 of a U-shaped frame 1 formed from metal strip. More than one prong may be provided on the loop 5.
