[Class 20(iii)] Frames for windows or glazed doors are made from metal sections bent to form rounded corners, undesirable light reflections from the metal surfaces adjacent the glass being reduced by providing those surfaces with a series of small, square-cut, equispaced, parallel grooves. In one example, Fig. 1, a double window has two coupled sashes 2 and 3, the surface 4 between the panes 5 and 6 being grooved to break up light reflections and to enhance the appearance of the sash frame. In a further example. Fig. 3, the outer surfaces of a metal section for a door frame which supports a glass pane in a channel 11, are grooved for the same purpose. The frame is made up by bending the metal sections to form rounded corners as shown in Fig. 4, the grooves continuing parallel around the corners. The protected surfaces in the grooves may be painted before the bending of the section.
