[Class 125(iii)] An orifice cap or stopper comprises an outer locking cap of any form described in Specification 178,153, [Class 125(iii)], in combination with an inner cap which has contact with the outer cap at or near the centre to ensure self adjustment of the inner cap to provide an even pressure on a sealing medium placed between the inner cap and the vessel. The inner cap of tinplate, plastic &c. may be dented, swollen, or shaped upwards c or the shape of a segment of a sphere, cone, or piramid with a triangular, square, or multi-sided base, to co-operate with an outlet cap which is flat, as in Fig 1, or provided with a depression, as at e in Fig., 12, or a raised portion, as in Fig. 6, or the inner cap may be flat and the outer cap provided with a depression, as in Fig. 5. The caps may be strengthened by providing a depression d between the rim of the vessel and the swelling c. The inner cap may be retained in the outer cap when removed from the vessel by means of a flange b on the outer cap, see Fig. 12. The sealing medium is of rubber, cardboard, paper, cork &c. and the sealing is improved by shaping the wall of the vessel and the rim of the inner cap, e.g. as in Figs. 22, 17, 20. In one example both inner and outer caps have small conical upward projections, and the inner cap is fluted.
