Crown corks.-A bottle closure of the " crown cork " type and constructed of substantially non- resilient metal is formed with a raised circular convex centre or dome 2 and its outwardly splayed peripheral edge, which embraces the bottle mouth, is provided with several cuts or slots 3 extending radially from the outside edge of the closure to the edge of the dome so that when the dome is forced in, the closure expands diametrically and is permanently distorted so as to permit of ready removal and prevent re-use.
