Abstract

379,903. Bottles &c. STANILAND, E. F., Blacknest, Kineton Green Road, Olton, Warwickshire. Oct. 28, 1931, No. 29833. [Class 125 (i).] A bottle &c., particularly one to receive a crown cork, has its mouth formed by a metallic beaded rim 1, which has a depending sleeve 2 embedded or incorporated in the material of the bottle neck 3. The sleeve may be disposed externally or internally of the neck and may be formed with an inturned or outwardly turned flange which is embedded in the bottle &c. neck. In other modifications the lower edge of the skirt may be serrated or it may be apertured to provide bonding-holes into which the material of the vessel is forced during moulding.
