[Class 44] A cleat or rope grip comprises two parts formed for connection to a lashing line so as to move relatively to one another by the tensioning of the line, one part having a curved rope receiving surface 16, Figs. 1, 2, and the other part 18 having one or more clamping surfaces 19 opposed to the surface 16 and moving - towards it on tensioning of the line.
