[Class 89(ii)] [Also in Groups VII and X] A sheet metal nail or fastener has its point 3 and other end 4 shaped to interfit so that the fastener can be cut from strip without waste of metal. Spaced holes 2 in the strip are used in driving in the fastener. Both ends project and serve for attaching the slab 5 to the structure. Two slabs placed side by side at 17 may be connected together as well as to the building. In a modification the ends of the fastener are formed by a single oblique cut.
