Abstract

Hard carbide alloys produced by sintering titanium carbide, vanadium carbide and auxiliary metals of the iron group are characterized by the use of 33-85 per cent of titanium carbide containing 16.5-17.5 per cent of carbon, 8-60 per cent of vanadium carbide containing 10-11 per cent of carbon and 7-40 per cent in total of one or more of the metals iron, nickel and cobalt.
