Abstract

1,165,491. Sintered steel alloy. DEUTSCHE EDELSTAHLWERKE A. G. Feb. 5, 1968 [March 16, 1967, No.5693/68. Addition to 1,126, 720. Heading C7A. A sintered steel alloy comprises TiC 27 - 35% (containing less than 0À1% free carbon) Ni 4À8 - less than 26% Cr present up to 15À6%. such that Ni + Cr = 12-26% and Cr is up to 60% of Ni + Cr. N up to 0À04% B up to 0À01% and Zr up to 0À05% the balance, apart from impurities and incidental elements, being iron. The alloys may be solution treated at 820 - 860‹ C., air cooled, machined to final shape and aged at 480‹ C. followed by quenching in air.
