Abstract

644,210. Wrappers. ROSE BROS. (GAINSBOROUGH), Ltd. March 6, 1948, No. 7013. [Class 94(i)] A boiled sweet, caramel or similar article is enclosed in a tubular wrapper having one end closure formed by twisting and the other formed by tucking in opposing portions 13 of the tube and folding the resulting flaps 14 into overlapping relationship so that it may be broken easily by squeezing the article from the wrapper in the direction of the closure. The article may first be enclosed in known manner in a narrow inner wrapper which does not extend beyond its ends. The folded end closure may be lightly sealed by heat and pressure. According to the Provisional Specification, the end closure may be formed by flattening the extending portion of the tube.
