[Class 12 (i)] [Also in Groups II, XI and XII] A tilting furnace (see Group XII) is supported by rollers 41 which engage crescent-shaped rockers 40 and are carried by adjustable supports 42 mounted on floor beams 43. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes the construction and adjustment of the supports in detail. As shown in Fig. 22 (Cancelled), each support is secured to the beam 43 by bolts 303 passing through elongated holes and is adjustable, after the bolts have,been loosened, by wedges 305, 306 disposed in slots 307 and 308 formed respectively in the undersurface of the support and the upper surface of a pad 309 welded to the beam. Each roller is mounted by roller bearings on a shaft 325 formed at each end with horizontal flats 326 resting on seats 327 provided on the support, and with vertical flats 328 engaging the front faces of wedges 329 adjustable by nuts 332. The latter wedges may be used for fine adjustments or alignment of the rollers and rockers. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
