777,307. Roller conveyers. AKT.-GES. FUR UNTERNEHMUNGEN DER EISENUND STAHLINDUSTRIE. Sept. 5, 1955 [Sept. 6, 1954], No. 25409/55. Class 78 (1). In apparatus for advancing bridge components during building at least three spring- supported rollers 13, over which the components are pushed, are mounted in a box 6 which is supported only at its centre on a base member 1 and is free to tilt about a transverse axis. A transverse member 3 secured to the underside of the box carries pins 5 which engage with play in the member 1. Each roller is mounted on a non- rotatable axle 14, the rounded ends of which rest on uprights 15 supported by springs 16. The box is composed of sections each of which supports at least two rollers and is connected by bolts 12 to the adjacent sections.
