Abstract
831,711. Mineral - mining apparatus. GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA. July 14, 1958 [July 20, 1957], No. 22528/58. Class 68(1) A driving or reversing station 10 of a. mineral-mining machine haulage system 11 is mounted on a platform 14 disposed at right angles to the haulage system and slidably supported on arms 15 of a U structure 15, 16. The U structure, which is positioned in a roadway has skids 21 for engaging the face side 23 of the roadway, four legs 17, 18 of adjustable length at each corner of the structure for supporting it from the floor 19 of the roadway and at least one roof-engaging member 30 of adjustable length. Tension on the haulage system is maintained by a weight 27 secured to the platform by a cable 26 passing over a pulley 25 on the structure.
