641,322. Pipe joints. PIRELLI SOC. PER AZIONI. May 20, 1948, Nos. 13738 and 13739. Convention dates. Nov. 17, 1941 and Jan. 7, 1942. [Class 99(i)] An anti - vibration fitting for insertion between the ends of abutting pipes comprises aT-section rubber ring A with the head of the T at the inner periphery of the ring, a pair of dished metal discs B embracing the sides of the T, and a pair of rubber discs C in the recesses of the discs, the rubber being bonded to the metal to form a composite ring of rectangular section, a metal casing comprising flanged sleeves D, E screwed together to compress the composite ring, and bolts F<SP>1</SP> embedded in the ring for connection to pipe flanges I<SP>1</SP>. To seal the fitting in an opening in a bulkhead R through which the pipe passes packing rings I<SP>1</SP>, T are compressed by collars F<SP>1</SP>, G<SP>1</SP> and bolts S, the collar F<SP>1</SP> engaging a flange E<SP>1</SP> on the sleeve D.
