[Classes 99 (i) and 99 (ii)] A split sleeve adapted to be clamped around a joint or fracture has two or more annular grooves 5 which receive a rubber ring or other packing. The ends of the sleeve may be caulked. The grooves are in ribs 7 which may be at the ends of the sleeve. A boss 8 may be provided for a branch connection 9. The branch may be integral with the sleeve.
