[Class 114] [Also in Group XXXIV] In a variable pitch propeller, each blade 3 is pivoted to the hub 1 by an arrangement of bearings comprising a plain bearing 4 at the end of the pivot 2, roller bearing 9 at the blade root, and an intermediate ball or roller thrustbearing 5. The inner race 12 of the roller bearing 9 is resiliently mounted in an axial direction.
