[Class 114] Each blade of a screw propeller is provided with a single aperture 7 at its root, the width BC of the aperture being from one-quarter to one-half the corresponding width DE of the blade and the axis KL of each aperture is inclined from 2‹ to 7‹ to the plane of rotation FG, of the propeller. The aperture extends from the boss to a point where the blade angle, is from 30‹ to 45‹ with the plane of rotation.
