Abstract
127,581. Garde, H. G. May 27, 1918, [Convention date]. Screw propellers.-The suction surface of a propeller blade is made uneven in order to increase the formation of vortices, by forming it with one or more shoulders b. The blade thickens to form the shoulder in the direction of the revolution of the blade, each shoulder extending lengthways of the blade and being highest at the middle and tapering towards and terminating at a given distance from the hub and tip respectively.
