Abstract

113,324. Eaton, T. Feb. 21, 1917. Screw propellers.-Each blade of the propeller is flared outwardly at the root part and secured to the boss by a cotter 6 passing through a radial pin 5 projecting from the boss. The contacting faces of the boss and blade are serrated or formed with interengaging projections and recesses 3, and the cotter is made wider at the top than the bottom, as shown. The curved flaring of the blade is continued in the boss at 8.
