Abstract

638,394. Pump connectors. PARKES, J. A. Dec. 31, 1947, No. 34930. [Class 99(i)] In a connector for tyre valves or water &c. nozzles comprising a hollow body 23- 25 provided with an axially extending shank 30 for connection to a flexible tube 32 and a sleeve 27 adapted to be axially compressed by a screw 28 so as to contract radially on to a valve &c 21, the inner end of the shank 30 carries a washer 35 engaging one end of the sleeve. The screw is retained in position by a flange 33 on the shank which also ensures that the washer is displaced when the connector is to be removed. The sleeve may be turned inside out, the resulting distortion enabling it to be used on nozzles of smaller diameters.
