612,051. Pipe joints. WOOD, C. H., and BRODRIBB, M. T. May 16, 1946, No. 14842. [Class 99 (i)] A swivelling hose coupling comprises a socket 2 and an assembly adapted to be introduced into the socket and compressed against its base 3, including a tube 8 adapted to be secured to a hose at its outer end, a collar 3 fast on the tube, ball-bearings 12, a loose collar 11, packing 13 and a cap or gland-nut 7. In a modification the packing is compressed between two loose collars, the ball-race being between the fast collar and and the gland-nut.
