Abstract

637,969. Elongated-lamp fittings. REVO ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and FELTON, A. E. June 12, 1948, No. 15868. [Class 75 (iv)] [Also in Group XXXVI] In a mine safety lamp fitting a, a connection box b is plugged thereon and is interlocked by a cam pin b, which engages a recess a<SP>3</SP> in a dowel pin a<SP>2</SP> on the lamp fitting, the cam pin bl also actuating the switch contacts c in the box so that the fitting and the box can only be separated when the switch contacts are open. To prevent the switch contacts being closed when the fitting and the box are separated, a latch b<SP>2</SP> is pushed over the cam pin by a spring b<SP>4</SP> thereby preventing the rotation of the cam pin b<SP>1</SP>.
