Abstract
637,010. Heat-insulating building board; compound sheet materials. AKTIEBOLAGET MOLNBACKA-TRYSIL. Feb. 5, 1945, Nos. 2872 and 2873. Convention dates, Feb. 11, 1944, and Dec. 18, 1944. [Classes 96 and 140] Strips, e.g. narrow trimmings or cuttings, of water-resistant paper containing asphalt or paraffin &c. are fed to a facing sheet, e.g. of paper, wallboard or plywood, so that they curl or coil in various ways, adhesive is applied, and the composite material with or without a second facing sheet is compressed to form a heat and sound insulating building board. The adhesive may be glue, cement paste, tar, or silicate &c., the latter giving resistance to rodents and insects. Insecticides may be added, and the material may be fire-proofed and its outer layer may be coated with tar &c.
