[Class 35] [Also in Groups XXXIII and XXXVIII] A motor has two excitation components, one varying with a control voltage and the other with the voltage across auxiliary brushes. As shown, the motor for driving a load 28 in synchronism with a handle 29 has load brushes 3, 4 and field windings 46a, 46b energized by the output of amplifier 38, the input to which is the voltage across auxiliary brushes 6, 7 and that induced in stator winding 37 of signal transformer 35 when the two rotor windings 34, 31 on the two shafts 36, 27 are not in positional agreement, the motor speed being thereby corrected. The field windings may be connected across the brushes 6, 7 with the source of signal voltage in series, directly or through an amplifier. The motor may have interpoles of permanent magnet material.
