[Class 18] In a cardboard or like box, carton or tray formed from a blank comprising a base part 11, lateral wings 12, 13, 17 forming the side walls, and extensions 24 ... 27 on a pair 12, 13 of wings received within pockets formed by intwining flaps 32, 33 on the other pair 17 of wings, the pockets are retained and locked in their folded condition by tongues 36 ... 39 formed integrally on edges of flaps 32, 33 engaging in slots 40 ... 43 in adjacent wings 12, 13. The portions 44 ... 47 adjacent the slots 40 ... 43 are displaced outwardly so that the tongues 36 ... 39 abut the edges of the wings 12, 13 defined by the slots. The box, &c. may have a hinged lid 20 with a turn-in flap 22, and the flaps 32, 33 may have extension pieces which rest on the base part 11. The hinged lid may be dispensed with, the tray so formed being used with a separate lid or with a shell in which it can be slid. In a modification a tongue is provided on one edge only of each flap 32, 33 and slots are provided in one wing 12 only, the extensions 26, 27 on the opposite wings being slotted so as to interlock.
