Abstract

630,497. Kneading-machines. REINSKOU, E. Sept. 5, 1946, No. 26716. Convention date, Jan. 29, 1944. [Class 86] A kneading-machine, for use with different kinds of dough, comprises a rotating bowl 1 and an eccentrically mounted kneading arm 2 having one or more kneading wings 4, 5, which sweep tin a curve from their connection to the arm to its tip backwardly as regarded in one direction of rotation and forwardly as regarded in the other, the machine being adapted to drive the arm in either direction to provide the alternatives of a strong kneading action or a more gentle mixing. The arm 2 is rotatably mounted in bearings 3 and is driven from an electric motor 11. The bowl 1 is driven from the arm 2 through a chain transmission 8, shaft 9 and bevel wheels 10. The reversing of the kneading arm drive may be obtained by means of a reversing switch or a reversing gear.
