Abstract
630,389. Stoves. CAUCHANER, D. June 17, 1947, No. 15968. [Class 126] A stove of the type in which the furnace of the stove is entirely devoid of any conduit or opening in communication with the room in which the stove is placed, in respect of which it is tightly sealed, is characterised by comprising an ash collecting chamber L directly arranged below the furnace F and separated from this latter by means of a grate G, said chamber L being provided with an opening for the removal of the ashes; means for tightly closing the mouth or opening of the furnace, consisting of two or more doors H, I, of which one, at least, forms a tight seal, said doors being so arranged that, after closing the same, air chambers will be formed therebetween; means D for tightly closing the opening of the ash collector L; a heating coil R for the circulation of water, arranged on the walls and the roof of the furnace, and an oven formed by a chamber E transversely arranged at the base of the flue A, accessible from the sides of the stove and provided with means J for closing the entrance openings thereof. The flue A serves to supply the air for combustion which passes downwardly in countercurrent to the ascending waste gases.
